Salon at the Feminist Library presents
Miriam David, author of the newly published ‘Feminism, Gender and Universities: Politics, Passion and Pedagogies’, discussing this important new book, together with several of the women she interviewed for it. Through biographies and life histories, the book documents the impact of individual women in higher education, and shows the difference that their presence has made – both within universities and beyond.
‘Miriam David celebrates the way that feminism has changed the landscape of higher education forever while asking forensic questions about the future of gender studies in a corporate, neoliberal landscape. One of her significant achievements is to draw on the voices of several generations of feminist intellectuals to both deepen and enliven her broader arguments.’
We hope to have copies of the book to sell at a greatly reduced price. Entry by donation to the library – we suggest £3.
