RESEARCH and PERSONAL ASSISTANT.
Based in Surrey. UK.

Salary: c. £25,000 – £30,000 pa.
Hours: 40 hrs a week, flexible.
Applications are invited for the post of research/personal assistant to assist Professor Jay Kleinberg of Brunel University in facilitating her research in the field of North American Women’s History from Autumn 2010.
The person appointed will ideally have a PhD (or near) in American Women’s or Gender History, American Studies or a closely related field and demonstrable familiarity with research in this area. Knowledge of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) would be an advantage. The appointee will be required to undertake research, edit professional papers, organise appointments and work schedule, and provide general support in academic work. There may be opportunity for involvement in research and co-authorship of papers for suitably qualified candidates.
