Essay Prize Competition – FWSA Annual Student Essay Competition

The FWSA is now accepting entries for its 2009-10 Student Essay
Competition. To encourage a new generation of feminist scholars, the
association sponsors this annual competition for student work (at
undergraduate or postgraduate level) which is innovative,
interdisciplinary and grounded in feminist theory and practice. The prize
for the best essay is £200 and a year’s FWSA membership. The top six
entries are published in the Journal of International Women’s Studies.
Pieces must be between 5,000 and 7,000 words long (including footnotes,
excluding bibliography) and have to be submitted electronically to
admin@fwsa.org.uk along with the coversheet and a short biographical note.

The deadline for submissions is 1st November 2009.
