London Group Seminar – ‘George Eliot and Her ‘Feminist’ Past: Sympathetic Readings of Mary Wollstonecraft and Madame de Sablé’

The London Group of the History of Feminism Network will meet on Wednesday 18 February for its fourth seminar of the year in the Activities Room of the The Women’s Library from 5:30 to 7:30. We will be discussing a paper by Kyriaki Hadjiafxendi of Exeter University: George Eliot and Her ‘Feminist’ Past: Sympathetic Readings of Mary Wollstonecraft and Madame de Sablé ‘

A reminder of how the seminar works: participants read the paper in advance and after a brief five minute presentation by the speaker, we open the floor to questions.

Please email history.feminism@googlemail.com to read Kyriaki’s paper in advance in order to comment on it either at the meeting or by email.
